Who Lucyd is, and why your store is part of it

Video coming soon. Read the module below.

Welcome

Thanks for selling Lucyd. By the end of these 8 short modules — about 45 minutes total — anyone on your team will be able to demo, fit, and recommend the right Lucyd product for any customer who walks in.

Watch the 4-minute video above first. The rest of this page is your reference.

What Lucyd is

Lucyd designs and sells smart audio eyewear: real, prescription-ready glasses with miniaturized speakers, microphones, and AI built into the frame. You can take calls, listen to music or podcasts, ask Siri or Google or Lucyd’s own AI assistant a question — without putting anything in your ears and without anyone around you hearing it.

It’s not a VR headset. It’s not a chunky tech gadget. It looks like normal eyewear. That’s the whole point.

Who makes Lucyd

Innovative Eyewear, Inc. is the public company (NASDAQ: LUCY) that owns the Lucyd brand and licenses Reebok Smart Eyewear. We’re based in North Miami, Florida, and have been in the smart eyewear category since 2017 — long before Ray-Ban Meta made it mainstream.

Module 2 covers each one in depth.

How selling Lucyd is different

Most eyewear is sold on frame style + lens prescription. Lucyd is sold on experience. The customer needs to put the glasses on and hear the audio for the lightbulb to go off. Your job — and the next 7 modules teach you exactly how — is to make that demo happen.

Why this matters for your store

  • Higher average ticket. A pair of Lucyd glasses sells for 2-4× the average frame.
  • A reason for younger customers to walk in. Most opticals miss Gen-Z and Millennials. Smart eyewear gets them in the door.
  • Almost no competition on your shelf. Smart eyewear is still a brand-new category — being the store that carries it is a differentiator.
  • You can keep doing exactly what you already do best. Rx, fitting, adjustments — Lucyd works with all of it.

What’s next

Module 2 walks through every product in the range — what it does, who it’s for, and the one-line pitch for each.
